New Doggy

well it looks like we have a dog now,,,,, he likes the budgies,,,,,,, to eat them I think, so we will have to find somewhere else to put them I think.

Anyway this is what he looks like

he is well mannered and very friendly

a bit wilful,

house trained

but I think I know why we got him,,,,,,,,, he likes to do runners.

Just the smallest crack in a door and he is off, he did it to me this morning and I caught him on the the doorstep of a neighbours house,

incidentally they have a bitch dog in there.

So I think soon he will be going to the vets soon and have his b*ls took off, that should slow him down a bit I think it would me.

I think someone out there lost him or couldn't be bothered chasing anymore.

We are calling him SAM

The new Dog

or maybe,,,,,,,, after 4 years of being with out a dog we finally caved in yesterday and went to Birmingham Dogs Home.

D wanted a Labrador Like the one we used to have But I didn't want to make my mind up until we had seen them all.

Yes she saw a labby but I wasn't too keen on her, she was a big dog and although nice,, not what I had in mind to share our house with us.

Then I saw this little dog who immediately came up to the edge of it's cage to make friends with me, it sat and rolled over and wanted some attention without barking or making a fuss.

Now we don't know yet if it will be ours we have to wait till next Saturday if the owners don't come in to claim him, we will wait and see, if not he is ours.

Athough the one above is full grown the one we looked at was younger and a little smaller.

Oh and by the way we lost a Budgie he flew out the door,

A new year

The years just seem to be going so quickly, it seems that there is no time, but I am making an effort and will carry on doing this, although sometimes it is a struggle.

We did so much last year that now in this new one,,,,,,, it seems like a blur,,,,,,,,,

Just to recap:

I was sick in January,

We went to Gambia and got married,

My Mum died.

I changed my job (for the better).

It rained all summer.

We went to Gambia again.

We had Christmas.

Phew that was quick.

My picture never was sold so I guess it must hand in our house (D) thinks that is great as she likes it saying so far its my best work.

I have changed my profile picture and the one showing is me sitting on the lawn of the British High Commissioner to Gambia, drinking a Gin and Tonic, (get me eh).

We went shopping in the sales just after Xmas and I have now got my huge flat screen plasma tv, we watch tv a lot so we thought we would treat ourselves, its not that big,, 32"

but big enough for our sitting room.

Both cars did make it to the Gambia and here is a pic of 5 tired drivers having just got there

I have no complaints apart from the fact that it has gone so quickly, so somebody make it stop please now.

This year I really must go to the US I really would like to visit Arizona, so I have some serious saving to do.
