Maps

Last Friday we had the day off, which is just as well because we had been to a wedding reception the night before had a lovely time and stopped at a bed and breakfast for the night, a lovely place, and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to explore Wales.
So by 9.00am we were off into the heart of Wales, Snowdonia is beautifull at this time of year.
Not long after we had set off a couple of hours maybe we found we were not far from the coast, 28 miles from Porthmadog I said, lets go to the seaside so we ended up at Criccieth there is a nice old castle and a couple of good pebble beaches.
So far so good we decided to get on our way back home, we had no map but me being a man thought it's not that big a place be back home in no time.
so ok I said lets follow the coast and swing a right to get us back to the Midlands, by the time I had reached Anglesey we were well north and Debs was well pissed off, We are only 30 miles from Manchester she said trying not to get hysterical, its ok I said I will run down the M6 some 70 miles from home is all we are.
Run down the M6 yes it would have been quicker, solid traffic nothing moving, of course the nice afternoon lunch we were both expecting was a sandwich in a motorway services, and the motorway was still jammed up.
Never again will I put my partner or myself through that, the bloody map is going in the car and stopping there.
We finaly arrived home at 5.30 pm and I had driven about 300 miles in the day.
