Common market?(a rant)

I do sometimes think WHY
I think the UK got into it by some misguided idea that it would do us here in the UK good.
Instead we have to pay for the privilidge,nothing here is much different, high taxes on everything whilst our neibours enjoy lower fuel duty and cheap booze and cigerettes.
so what real good does it do.
Well we have someone in Belgium telling us how long we should work,
They tell us we should pay more towards it,

I saw some thing on TV the other day ,this got me thinking, they worked it out so that daily output by workers was put into units
French=1.9 units
english=5.9 units
that is what stuck in my head.
I do not want some lazy garlic crusher telling me what to do, whilst he pats the back of a bloody Kraut and only 60 years earlier was trying to get him out of his country,and us daft buggers sent tens of thousands of troops over to help them.
I think we should sod the common market right off seal the tunnel up( its losing money anyway) and deal with who the the hell we want to.
enough for today

Tuesday 28th December 2004
The events over the last few days in the far east have sickened me and put a damper on the festivities.

My heart goes out to all the people who have suffered losses in such a tragic way,I have been a sailor and sailed in those waters and know and understand what force the sea hasI will not dwell on it as it is all over the news and has happened.
We have now to clear up the pieces and build lives and homes for those people who have been effected.
On a lighter note today we went to
Merry Hill (Merry Hell) we live about 10 miles away, its a big place with all the stores mazzive car parks etc it took us 25 mins to get there 30 mins to get in and find a space, old lucky Steve stikes again finding a car pulling out just as I wanted a space.

The place was packed, Deb went into BHS, I followed and said you know what you want, her reply "no just browsing",(bloody love shopping me) have you got your phone I asked?
yes ok I said I will call you, or you me.
I knew exactly what I wanted A new pair of trainers and to swop a shirt got for me for xmas,,, too small.
I am 17,1/2 inch neck or XL it was 16 1/2 inch( it would have fit like a pair of ballet dancers tights)

Swopped the shirt and went next door to "Clarkes" and got the trainers,Then my phone rang where are you?,,,, Clarkes ,,, you?,,,,,,,,,, gadget shop,,,, ok I am on my wayI didn't know there was 2 gadget shops!!!! .,,,,,where are you ,,,,,, gadget shop ,,,,,,,,, no I am there you are nowhere near it,,, Ok meet you by the Christmas Tree outside BHS ,,,,, do you know how big this place is !!!!
Anyway we met up and went to"HMV",,, we browsed for a bit,we have 400 films at home It is not easy to pick films when you have all the best ones anyway.so I picked Open Water, so tonight we are watching that.
